I don't know what's the difference between "my company" and "our company". As far as I know, one of them is what the boss says and the other is what the employee says. In the case of my boss, he meets his friends. "My company sells beef." or "Our company sells beef."? Which one is right? I really wonder about the problem. English composition needs correction but I also want to know the answer.

Hello Jessie! Both are okay to use. There's no wrong answer. Typically, people will know he doesn't own the company, and if there's any question, people will ask. Words like "my" or "our" do not necessarily indicate owndership. They just indicate a close relationship or connection. No fluent speaker assumes that it means ownership. That could mean you own it or it could mean you work there. It may or may not matter to the listener. ^^ |
